What Onyou never does

Deepfakes. Onyou styles your look — it isn't built to swap your face, put it on someone else, or pass a fake off as real, and every image is clearly labeled as an AI-generated mock-up. Our aim is to hold your identity as faithfully as possible, and we re-run generation while we're creating your look if the likeness drifts — but AI image generation isn't perfect, so the resemblance can vary. The intent is always you, styled — never a fabricated version of you.

Nude or suggestive images. Onyou dresses and styles — it has no feature that removes clothing or creates nude or sexual images. Every photo — the one you upload and every one we create — is checked by a strict, independent nudity-and-violence safety scanner that blocks anything it flags. The scanner doesn't store your images.

Using anyone else's face. Onyou is for styling you, from your own selfie. You confirm the photo is of you when you upload, our Acceptable Use Policy requires it, and we don't build or offer celebrity or lookalike features. Our system scans every upload only to confirm there's a face in it — it doesn't check whose face it is, doesn't run facial recognition, and doesn't save any data about you.

"Improving" your face. Your looks include subtle, natural makeup styled to your coloring — but just subtle, natural makeup — your own features, unchanged. No reshaping, no filters. We don't enlarge eyes, slim jaws, or smooth skin. We change what you're wearing, not who you are.

How your looks are made

Every look is an AI-generated mock-up and a styling opinion — and it's labeled as AI-generated wherever it appears. You steer the vibe by choosing from set options, not by typing open-ended instructions, so results stay on the rails we designed.

Built to work for every face. We tested Onyou across a wide range of skin tones and ethnicities — including deeper skin tones and Indian and East Asian faces — specifically to hold your identity and your coloring as faithfully as we can. Looking like you isn't an afterthought; it's the whole point, and it's something we actively test for.

Your photo, step by step

1. You confirm you're 18 or over and that the photo is of you.
2. You upload your selfie. We check it's a face, and screen it for anything harmful.
3. It's sent straight to our AI providers to read your coloring and create your looks. Your photo creates your look — then it's gone. We never keep it, never use it to train AI, and handle it under formal data-protection agreements. On the free reveal it's never written to our servers. When you buy your Edit, we hold it in encrypted storage only long enough to finish your looks — up to 15 minutes if you've closed the tab — then delete it automatically.
4. Your report, season and palette stay in your account so you can return to them. Your looks are yours to download. We keep a copy for 90 days, then delete it — and we don't recreate them afterward, so save the ones you love before then. One-tap delete any time. Free-reveal images aren't stored.

On deletion: because we never keep your selfie, there's nothing of your face sitting on a server to delete. Your look images delete automatically after 90 days anyway, and one tap removes your report or looks whenever you like. If you opted out of saving, there was nothing stored to begin with.

Security & data protection

• We never keep your selfie. On the free reveal it passes straight through, never written to our servers; when you buy, it's held encrypted for at most 15 minutes to create your looks, then deleted — so there's no lasting library of faces to breach.
• Your image is never used to train AI. Our providers process it under data-protection agreements that prohibit training.
• Encrypted and access-controlled. The data we keep (your report, saved looks, account) is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256), in access-controlled UK and EU infrastructure. Only you can see your results.
• Screened for safety. Every image is automatically checked and blocked if flagged.
• We handle facial images as special-category (sensitive) data and rely on your explicit consent — the strongest footing UK data protection provides. We don't identify you or build a faceprint.

Your controls

• Free to see your color season and first look — no sign-up, no card.
• Explicit, un-bundled consent before any photo is processed — never pre-ticked.
• Withdraw consent and delete your saved looks any time, in the app.
• Download anything you want to keep — your looks are yours.
• Full data rights (access, correction, erasure, portability) — email privacy@onyou.beauty.
